NACA twin rudders for Great Lakes bulk carrier

20^th November 2019: A signing ceremony at Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding sealed the deal between the Chinese shipyard and Becker Marine Systems to deliver a NACA twin rudder system with KSR support. Becker teamed up with the yard, CS Marine Technology (ship design) and the Canadian owner Algoma Central Corporation to develop a sophisticated manoeuvring solution for the newbuilding of a 31,200 dwt self-unloading bulk carrier. The tailor-made twin rudder solution is optimised for energy efficiency and will meet the tough manoeuvring demands of short trade business in the Great Lakes of North America.
