Becker Twist Rudder for dual-fuelled car carrier ordered by Imabari

6^th August 2018: Imabari Shipbuilding is constructing a car carrier with a capacity for 7,000 vehicles and has once more awarded Becker Marine Systems with an order for the delivery of a rudder system. The newbuilding is the first dual-fuelled vehicles carrier to be built at the Japanese shipyard. Several ship owners are interested in this project and the shipyard is looking forward to start a series of this type of vessel. The single screw Car Carrier is scheduled for delivery in 2020. It is designed for a service speed of 18 kn and will be equipped with a Becker Twist Rudder with rudder bulb.
